Caribbean-Like Beaches on Nova Scotia's South Shore

Nova Scotia has some amazing sandy beaches. You can find some of the warmest beach waters in Canada along the Northumberland Straight in the north-west part of Nova Scotia. Along the South Shore you can find beautiful white sand beaches which look like tropical getaways.

.

For 300 kilometers, from Halifax to Yarmouth, along Nova Scotia's South Shore, many beautiful beaches are lined up, some of them around Lunenburg. Whether you want to swim, search for seashells, or just spend the day relaxing in the sun, these beaches offers every kind of fun and recreational opportunity available at the seaside.  Visitors relax at kilometre long white sand beaches or boardwalk along an inland marsh.

The very best beaches (often not even marked - and with very few visitors) are further south between Liverpool and Shelburne. Carter's Beach and the adjutant southern shore is just one of them.

Enjoy the South Shore Beaches, swimming, kayaking, surfing, or just walking along the beach and you will feel like being in the Caribbean:  Crystal-clear, shallow water, white sandy beaches, stunning rocks and tranquility.  It is a paradise!  And thank goodness, still a well-kept secret.
